The Welcome Home Ball

Last night, Dustin and I went to his new Unit's "Welcome Home Ball". They just redeployed from Iraq. It was my 1st experience with a Military Ball that wasn't tied to a graduation. We had a good time, and the food was SO MUCH better than the last time (but it wasn't hard to beat the last one...). There were a lot more people too, but it was still fun. We left before the dancing actually started...knowing that we had a babysitter and not knowing when our next chance to go see "Twilight" would be. And we loved that too. It was quite funny because we were still dressed up, and were getting some strange looks. I finally just said, "Oh! How embarrassing for you! You're so under-dressed!"
His hat cracks me up...but the price of it wasn't quite as funny...
Thank goodness for little sisters! This is the 2nd dress I've borrow from Beth for a Military ball. It sure has saved me some money!!

My hair...for Beth...

That's a beautiful dress!

Our nephew was talking about going to a Marines ball and was pleased that there were "no covers." It took me a while to figure out what he was talking about.
