Sorry that I didn't see this sooner, but I have an excellent tried and true recipe for Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The recipe is at this link:

It is by Alton Brown, my absolute favorite host on the Food Network, and the most entertaining TV cook I have ever seen. Lisa and I have used this recipe on several different occasions, and it is always excellent. Enjoy.
